Please take a look at the workshop page on my website for more details and email me through the contact page or call me if you have any questions...... Thank you to the lovely ladies that came to my workshop, it has been a great couple of days giving a workshop with a talented group of students, they worked so hard and came up with some beautiful, original designs and stitched samples ready to be able to complete their own unique piece of textile art. Here are just a few images taken over the last two days..... If you are interested in booking a workshop please see the workshop page for course details and availability. There are some very exciting things happening during September, firstly I will be exhibiting with Re-View Textiles at Farfield Mill in North Yorkshire from 12th September - 30th October. http://www.seagrassstudio.co.uk/ These are two new pieces of work to add to my ' Collection of Rarities ' series they are called 'Small Beginnings #1' & 'Small Beginnings #2', each measures approximately 20cm x 20cm. Based on micro-organisms where all life begins......
My 'Collection of Rarities' series has been influenced by botanic illustrations of the late nineteenth century and inspired by the Victorian fascination of decorative arts and the preservation and presentation of nature under glass domes, cabinets and cases. Its nearly here! In just a few days I will be exhibiting a selection of my work at Ness Botanic Gardens. As well as my original textile art there will be limited edition prints, cards and brooches on sale. Ness Botanic Gardens visitor centre is open daily 10.00 - 5.00pm, I will be there from 10.00am until 4.00pm every day so please come along and say hello.
